UPDATE: Friday, April 2, 2010
Mike Simpson, president of Twin City Printing in North Little Rock, announced that the company has changed its 65-year-old name to TCPrint Solutions. Simpson said that the change is descriptive of the future of the business; a solutions-based marketing company. In addition to commercial printing, TCPrint Solutions offers short-run digital printing, wide-format printing, packaging, fulfillment and personalized variable data mailing services.
About TCPrint Solutions
In 1945, Walter Simpson opened the door to a new company, Twin City Printing. Located in downtown North Little Rock on Magnolia Street between 2nd and Washington Avenue and armed with a collection of hand-set type, the company began growing.
By the early 60’s Twin City Printing had become an industry leader in the understanding and application of new printing technologies. Walter Simpson pioneered the first web-offset printing press in Arkansas and played a key role in the development of the North Little Rock Times newspaper.
In 1968, the company relocated to its current location at 4150 East 43rd Street in North Little Rock. The 28,000 square foot facility now houses the latest in offset printing applications. Twin City Printing offers a complete digital pre-press workflow supported by the latest in computer-to-plate and software technology. Our Heidelberg Speedmaster six-color plus coating press is complimented with a variety of one, two and five-color presses, giving Twin City Printing a commanding presence in the commercial printing market.
In 2005, the Kodak NexPress was added to the mix. It is one of the industry’s first true digital production color systems. The NexPress 2100 digital color production color press produces full-color prints quickly and cost-effectively and expands the range of services that Twin City Printing offers. The NexPress is the perfect press for short-run, on-demand printing, enabling Twin City Printing to provide higher value, higher impact communication materials for today’s fast-paced market.
Twin City Printing has a strong commitment to the community. The roster of organizations Twin City Printing has helped is extensive – too long, in fact, to list succinctly. Most have received help with printing offered at either substantially reduced rates or no cost at all. As officers and directors of various organizations, the Simpson family’s commitment goes far beyond its financial contributions.
Through three generations of leadership, Twin City Printing has built an extended family that includes the area’s principal advertising agencies, design firms and business and marketing professionals. Let us put our sixty-plus years of reputation to work for you. With digital technology at our fingertips, the future is now.
